Ensure that effective, quality youth development opportunities in education, health, recreation and leadership are available in the north and east side neighborhoods for those most in need and advocate on behalf of young people and their families living within those neighborhoods.

Amenities
The Douglass Community Center also offers facilities to the entire community. It is available for groups who would like to hold meetings, receptions or social gatherings. In the past, it has been used for the City Commission, School Board and community meetings. It is also a City of Kalamazoo voting precinct for public and school elections.
